A Limecraft Delivery Workspace is a space that gathers all elements of a media content delivery into various predefined, actionable requests, giving all stakeholders an instant and clear overview of the requested information and materials. With the dashboard, it’s quick and efficient to monitor the overall status of the delivery or any specific request.
This article discusses the steps of completing a delivery request by the content producer. The requirements for completing a delivery request depends on the type of request.
This is how you complete and submit a delivery request.
1. Open the request
Search or navigate to the request that you want to work on and simply click it to open.
2. Fill in the request as required
This can be anything from filling out metadata to uploading an audio or video file or a mix of both. The request form guides you to supply the required data and files.
3. Uploading Media Content
Uploading media content can mean using a preconfigured service such as Aspera Connect, or uploading media to Limecraft storage depending on the specific configuration. The request form will guide to select the available option.
Once you have selected and sent the files, you can monitor the status of the delivery in the request window.
Note: At this point there might be automatic validation that will probe the file and ensure that it conforms to the requirements. As a result, there can be an error message guiding you to take the necessary actions to approve the file.
4. Submit request
Once the request form or the upload is completed, you can submit the request for review.
Submitting the request is essential in order to send a notification to the broadcaster or distributor. This will change the request status to In Review and starts the next 'Review' step of the process.
5. Review
At this stage, it is possible to make use of the Limecraft Review functionalities depending on whether it has been enabled or not. In case of doubt, contact your production coordinator for instructions.
6. Request Approval
The Review step will eventually lead into the approval of the Request by the distributor. Now this request is completed for the overall delivery, which is reflected on the progress bars and when using the filters to search requests that need attention.
