In general, there are two possibilities to modify the timing of individual subtitles. Either you can apply changes to the time codes above the subtitle directly, whereby the application will obviously prevent you from creating overlapping subtitles.
Otherwise you can change the timing by dragging and dropping the in and out points on the timeline below the player.
